Thanks, the ebony board adds a super bright top end. Thanks, she's a beauty alright. Not quite a kidney but, the price wasn't too bad.

    2018 Ibanez Speculation Thread

I'm hoping for some natural finish Talman or SR pj basses with a variation of baked and flamed maple fretboards.

Which one is best buy ?

Based on your post, I would suggest the Ibanez SR 1300. I have played this model in a shop and it was in my opinion best, sounding, feeling bass, compared to multiple Fender, MusicMan basses. Plus the SR 1300 has an eq bypass switch and a 3-way mid frequency switch, which in your case will help...

New Ibanez SR basses with "Powerspan" pickups - what say you?

Most definitely, also the weight on both SR300 and SR306 is not a problem, they're very light basses.

New Ibanez SR basses with "Powerspan" pickups - what say you?

Hello, I currently own the SR300EBWK and the six string version SR306EBWK, and I have to say these basses are an incredible value. The Powerspan pickups are great, very dynamic, great highs, mids, and lows. The Powertap mode really brings out the harmonics. My only complaint is there is a bit...

    Who Was Your First...

One of the main reasons I picked up a bass was because of Martín Méndez of Opeth, he never overplays or underplays, just a solid bassist all around.

did you keep your 1st bass?

I still have my first bass, it's a Squier Affinity Series P-Bass Special '97. When I started learning on it, it was a struggle because the setup was way out of whack with a mile high action and too much neck relief. Now that I know how to do a proper setup this bass plays phenomenally, I...
