Fender Rumble 40, lightweight, cheap and decent sound.

Hi, Portamento players. I've downgrade to a Ibanez SRH500F, so my number #77 it's available ;-)

I think that this sound is the caracteristic sound for that strings: dull, with artificial attack in higher positions and lacking body. I've tried that strings on a fretless bass with piezo (Ibanez SRF705) and I felt that I threw my money.

I'm using rounds on my SRF705, Elixir 0.045 - 0.135. The tension and sound in 5th string is correct, there is not much change in color and tension compared to 4th string. With stock strings (Chromes) I felt the 5th string unbalanced in tension, tone and volume comparing with the remaining strings.

Hi, I've recieved my SRF705 last week. By now, stock strings and electronics. The D'Addario Chromes aren't my favourite flatwound strings, but in this bass, they sound very good. I'll try the Cobalts in a near future. May I have a number? ;) Thanks.

I'm looking for a cabinet for my UB. At the present time I'm using an Ashdown Mi10, but I'm not happy with its sound, in the lower notes it sounds a bit distorted. I have happyly used in the past a Phil Jones combo, I like the brand, but I'm not sure if this cabinet (CAB27) will sound fine...

I own a BZ-6000 for three days... I think it's a very good instrument. The 35'' is frightener and requires more focus on hand position, but that low notes deserves the effort, IMMO. Here I'm trying to deal with "All the Things you Are" changes:
