What accent is that?![]()
Is your 32" fretless P by Warmoth or some other maker?Man, I have a 34" MM 'ray clone that I adore. And a 32" scale fretless P. Seriously considering reverting my P back to fretted with flats and building a 32" scale fretless J.
Now this comes along. I want it but I only need ONE bass. I have two and am part way toward build a 3rd. THe Ibanez would be my 4th and would solve no need.
But I want one. Mainly to encourage the 32" scale market I suppose. Sigh.
Hard to know for sure. It wouldn't surprise me if the stock strings were cheap—that could be factor. Then there are the pickups, body wood, and bridge to consider. Yeah, some medium- and short-scale basses can sound different from long-scale basses, but I wonder if that isn’t a psychological thing, i.e., if you didn’t tell someone it was a medium-scale bass, would they be able to detect a difference?Hmmm... even with headphones, the video demo doesn’t sound very full and “bassy”... kinda like a Mustang. Is that a short/medium scale thing?

I love Warmoth. I think a 32" P would be fabulous, fretless or otherwise.Warmoth all the way.

Last night I was visiting Ibanez's website.
They've just anounced new models for 2019. These ones are pretty cool (32'', PJ configuration, 22 frets):
