I play rockabilly in some bands, and sometimes with EUB... I have 2, an Azola and a MOG Baby Bass... Check this: In my opinion, you can do a real good slap with an EUB.... If you don't like the look is another thing, but the sound could be amazing with a good pickup...

I used one PF-350 in a gig with a double bass with just the Fishman pb-100 (no preamp) and i liked the sound.... Versatile... And it was in a big place.

I was usig an ASIS compressor with gate...it's a great compressor, but it's a rack, and i don't like to carry it.... now, i'm using this one Invalid Link Removed ...it's cheap and simple...no gate, but just a little bit of compressor to mix note and slap....on the other hand, i don't know it...

Hi Loco, i'm using a Mog Baby Bass in my rockabilly and psychobilly bands... I have to upgrade the bridge, and maybe change the pick up (needs more output), but i think when i finish the upgrades will be one of my favourite basses :-)

I think it depends on the luck.... I bought a thomann black bass about 3 years ago and is one of the best buyings in my life!!! 400EUR and didn't need upgrades... But i have some friends that don't think like me... They had problems... I'm very happy with my thomann bass, and i think i'll buy...

Which amp and strings do you use???

I have played a lot of gigs with my Azola Bugbass 2, and i love it!!! The sound and the image... Now, i'm trying to upgrade my new MOG Baby Bass to use it.... I think EUB are cool and looks modern... We are on the 21st century :-)

I have never played with an amp with 112, but I think this Gallien Krueger should be enough because his 200watts...

ptybass, yes, i need some one with "cojones" as you said :-) ...i usually play gigs with pa, so i think that it could be a good thing to buy one of them... on the other hand, i have to think with an amp to play gigs without pa...i have an ampeg b-100r, which is fantastic but not too loud...

Yes, the GK MB150 was an option...but i was thinking in the Phil Jones BG100 Bass Cub, too... or the Ibanez Promethean.... any thought about thes little amps??? I don't have pics of my bass at the moment...i'll post it in some days, sorry..
