Double Bass Baby Bass megathread

Yes, the GK MB150 was an option...but i was thinking in the Phil Jones BG100 Bass Cub, too... or the Ibanez Promethean.... any thought about thes little amps???
I don't have pics of my bass at the moment...i'll post it in some days, sorry..

Mauro, do you have any pictures of your shop or pictures that show the build process? I would be interested to see how the basses are made.

Mauro, ¿tienes alguna foto de su taller o fotos que muestran el proceso de construcción? Estoy interesado en ver cómo los bajos se hacen.

The difference is one has a chorus and one not, but I must say I tried one of these amps with a baby bass and I did NOT like it at all. No lows, to midrangie, is a nice practice amp for your home but not for a gig without a PA system. I once tried a Phill Jones amp combo and was not impressed at all. May be for doubble Bass but for a Baby Bass you need somthing with "cojones". I still belive in the law of phisics. Go with the new G&K Neo MB combo line 2X10" or 2x12". Ulta light powerfull and cheap.

David, I don't have expierience with either of those amps. If you want super small, light and powerful, the Acoustic Image combos are nice...although they are pricey.

But, I agree with ptybass. I would get something a little bit bigger like the MB2x12 or 2x10.

Oh, and the MB150 is 100 watts. I don't know how loud you play, but the BB likes more wattage, IMO.

is too hard post all BB proccess for one reason :
here (i reffer to Latin Americans...) , if i deal with a popcorn machine car, and this are a success ...immediately,500 persons more ,are copying exactly, the same ideas ...
this happened 10 years ago ,with a unlike person to me, actually a "BB luthier" (not are Sendel, ok ?)

not are convenient for now ...:rollno:

ptybass, yes, i need some one with "cojones" as you said :-) ...i usually play gigs with pa, so i think that it could be a good thing to buy one of them... on the other hand, i have to think with an amp to play gigs without pa...i have an ampeg b-100r, which is fantastic but not too loud (100W)..in my bands play hard drummers, and guitar players with marshall or big fender... maybe the G&K Neo MB combo line 2X10" or 2x12" could be one solution....
I would try an acoustic image... i heard one som weeks ago and i think they sounded great!!! but i would like to try one of these...
