This is not even remotly connected to this thread, BUT it was mentioned never to remove the ground from the power cable... A thought just came to mind... Most all power cables have ground plugs, but why doesnt high amperage household vacuum cleaners have a ground. They all use two wire power...

I was going to add my 2 cents and mention, Did you check the battery in your bass?.. but I don't think that's the cause of your problem .. Nevermind, move on, nothing to see here' ;)

Ha... I remember borrowing an Oliver from a music store while between bass amps for a big gig and was surprised when the amp head rose out of the cabnet with a push of a button. Everyone was amazed.. I kept raising and lowering it... didnt take much to pacify me back then. ;)

Sell it, keep it , doesnt matter to me. I just like Mesa gear. Been playing different amps since 1965 and finally found my holy grail of a bass amp. Just another tip from your old uncle Dbase ;)

Sell it and buy a Mesa, problem solved, end of story. ;)

I tried the same thing with a Pelican equipment case.. worked great but the case was heaver than the amp... thereby negating the purpose of buying the amp to begin with. (to save my back)

I play large outdoor gigs. eveyone plays ampless thru the pa except me.. I run the 115 with a Mesa 800D and DI it. everyones happy.

I played thru a Hartke 8x10 with an Ampeg B2R 250 watt amp and it sounded like a speaker was blown. It was a rehersal studio we rented once in a while. The next time I bought my own amp head, a Mesa WD800 and the cab sounded fantastic.. no buzz. I'm thinking the amp they used wasn't enough power...

That's it? no point counterpoint.... what am I to do with all this popcorn?, I know dont tell me. <off soapbox> ;)

I had one of those amps.... $150 new as my 1st amp for small gigs.. its a workhorse. I couldnt sell it so I gave it away free to an 18 year old student learning the bass ..

I had a My LH500 had the blue tape also.. Thought it was OEM.. I had the option to go with either the blue tape, black electrical tape or Duct Tape. ;)
