Would this work as a headphone amp?

Yes it will, It will work very well, another idea is run a DAC dongle (the Apple usb to 3.5 is what i have been using)on same amp, works very well since your running power through the amp dont get a powered dongle just the cheap DAC like the one like Apple or something non powered. you can buy for very cheap off Amazon. Bam just saved yourself 200 dollars or more and can also upgrade with a switch of a dongle. You can also use in-ear monitor like FZONE P4 for headphones its my favorite because it has its own battery and wont eat up your battery use with a cheap non powered usb Dac Dongle because you the powered amp versions eat up battery. The sound is superb on the Fzone but I bet The Berhinger version also would work well or something similar? you will save yourself hundreds of dollars and also will be amazed on the sound quality since IEM is made for musical instruments.

Well it is less than a perfect solution, it has a pair of line inputs and four stereo headphone outputs.
I would be looking for a small mixer whith a headphone out or a small bass amp with an auxiliary input.

I am looking for a headphone amp with more than one channel so I can play bass along with songs while listening to music. I am looking at the HA204 by livewire. Would that work for that application?

I use this for practice with the band. they go in one channel, my bass goes in the other and I can control the volume of each.
