    RIP Heiko Höpfinger (Basslab)

Oh no! Wow. I had a Basslab Jazz 5 for a little while a few years back and it's insane how lightweight that monocoque construction is - whole thing was 6 or 7 lb if I remember right. RIP to a true innovator.

The "In the Queue-Custom Bass Waiting Room" thread!

My medium-scale McGrath Thunderhorse has arrived! It's not as fancy as some others, and since I wanted a solid white bass I couldn't avail myself of ms Madelyn's awesome artistic skill, but it's quite nice. Little heavy for me at 9lb 3oz but I'll deal because it's so good everywhere else...

Henry the 8x8 vs beat up 810e

Best of both worlds: I'm currently long-term-borrowing an Ampeg VB-88 (8x8) cab at the moment and it's phenomenal. Weight is very close to the Darkglass 210N I'd been using, super easy to pick up and swing around, and IMHO it sounds great too. EDIT I apologize, I had not noticed the budget...

Short joke songs that should have full versions

Several of the snippets that make up TMBG's "Fingertips" at the end of the Apollo 18 album would make hilarious full songs I think. Course, I do recognize that some of them are hilarious solely because of their abruptness.

    DMC.micro PRO programming question

Instead of making a new thread for this I'll just necro this one to ask a question, as I just got a C4 and the Micro and I don't quite get this part myself. It arrived to me preprogrammed for the Micro to scroll up and down through named presets, but it seems they're all stored as bypassed...

The "In the Queue-Custom Bass Waiting Room" thread!

well, they ARE way harder to find, but i do trust. Even a Ric is 33 and change! My #1 favorite bass of all time is a 34, so it's not like I've been exclusive with any scale in particular =0)

The "In the Queue-Custom Bass Waiting Room" thread!

I too am waiting for the very same! I tout shortscales a lot, but I have realized medium is even better and I'm starting to replace basses with 32s. Full disclosure: even though the Thunderhorse came about in collaboration between McGrath and our channel, I'm not getting the bass for free...

    Les Claypools Fretless 6 (Pachyderm?)

$8700 for the black 4-string version; who knows what the kind Les gets would cost. It's a ridiculous amount of money, but I fell in love with that damn bass at NAMM and am half trying to justify getting one for myself next year for my 50th bday.

    Les Claypools Fretless 6 (Pachyderm?)

Definitely looks like a Pachyderm, but Ms. Wells (who makes them) told me that at least for the time being, the only one they're selling to the public is the "sleek" model, in black satin 4-string.

Good quality square head silent soft-touch / soft-click footswitch to modify a pedal

To help the OP a little bit - Yoda is looking for a switch possessing a head that is square or rectangular in profile, from the side. Generally some 10mm diameter x 6ish high.

    Beetronics Quality?

I really like the flavors they chose for both the fuzz and the OD sides - they sound great and you've got a dry blend knob right there; alongside the od-fuzz continuous blend on each side you can really fine tune and tweak both channels' sound, but I'm just a simple OD on one Fuzz on the other...

    Beetronics Quality?

I don't own one myself, but I've got a Royal Jelly at the moment on loan from the channel stash, and it feels really high quality - the knobs are all solid and smooth, all the interactive touchpoints feel very sure, nothing jiggly. The stuff that seems to be all looks, too, gives you a sense...

    It is the great insult!

I'm a huge GZ fan and am seriously thinking of getting this, to put next to my hello kitty fuzz. It'd be in a blend loop with my wah though so the lows stick around.
