My drummer's old band had the same problem. Even if they were covering a track that had stick clicks at the start it would be the guitarist (not even the singer) saying 1-2-3-4 into the mic. I think that stick clicks sound alot better than saying 1-2-3-4. Plus the obvious drummer should...

My girlfriend is my drummer, so if I have a gig to play, so does she. It's the best way.

No instrument is difficult to play, but to play it well is a different story.

A few years ago I played a guy Anestesia (Metallica) to show him how amazing Cliff was. When I asked him what he thought, he replied: "I enjoyed it once the rest of the band kicked in, but before that it was boring" :scowl:

Yea, jamming regularly is a great way to get to know what the other members of the band are able to do. You can see how you can fit into the music with them. They can do the same with you. It's great afterwards if the rest of the band ask you to play a certain part again, jam it more and then...

My band jam at the start of every practice. It's a great way to write new material.

When a friend's band were playing in a hall next to a local church, before the gig started everyone had to stop the music for the sermon next door. At this point one of the amps started picking up the signal from the priest's wireless mic. Very eerie!
