Calculate port length for JBL K110 in a small box

I suppose asking a bass players forum for optimal guitar performance on a drive is a kinda dick move.. just was worried that any guitar-centric advice wouldn't take into account that I would like to use this for low-volume bass and not damage the driver.

Calculate port length for JBL K110 in a small box

Thanks for replies, dudes. Just to be clear, the amp tops out at 15 watts. For bass, I'm only want to have a box I can plug into quickly for practice without having to drag out my 40 lbs Sunn tube amp (Sorado) and 65 lbs Ampeg 1x15. I'm an NYC apartment dweller so space is an issue. I'm looking...

Calculate port length for JBL K110 in a small box

Hey gang, Been a minute since I've been around these parts. I have a quick question I'm hoping someone can help me with. I have a small combo amp that I'd like to throw a JBL K110 in. It's 0.89 cu ft in internal volume (17" w x 14" h x 6.5" d). There is a 3 in round port hole in the baffle. I'd...

    $5,000 seems reasonable for a Boss DD-7

    Should I get a Sunn 2000s?

This has been my experience with my Sorado. To my ears, with the bass "boost" disengaged, there's a low freq roll off. With it engaged, it sounds like a natural extension down to the fundamental on my 4-string. I'm not a tech so maybe someone else will contradict on solid grounds, but that's...

Oh, since I was taking a break from TB, I need to know how Korladis/Satori got banned. Is this one permanent? Looks super permanent.

I usually wear something sleeveless (like a wife beater or my cut-up Sabbath shirt or one of my pocket tees that's so old it's riddled with holes everywhere) because I get stupid sweaty and hot on stage. I need the ventilation.

Also, even from the balcony (especially from the balcony?) the weed smoke was overpowering. I was craving an omelet for most of Sleep's set. Also, hi. I've been avoiding TB the last few months because I couldn't really take some the regular idiocy of the main forums. You folks are cool though...

Sleep/Dylan Carlson at Brooklyn Steel last nite was pretty righteous. If anyone's going to the show there tonite (or the other dates on the tour, natch) grab your parts... but you already knew that. I was rockin too hard to snap a good pic.

Any combo fit this criteria? Small, good-looking, good sound?

    Acoustic vs. Ampeg

For no reason, none related to this thread in the least, I'm laughing hard about the idea that owning an ampeg fridge allows license to do anything in life. Sorry officer for speeding, but I do own an ampeg svt-810. Apologies sister Gertrude for cursing, did you know Ive owned ampeg 8x10s most...

    Acoustic vs. Ampeg

The acoustic brand is what it is nowadays. I'm not hating just giving info to clear up confusion about how the current nameplate relates to the vintage gear. I've played both and I liked the ampeg better. I def think there's a place for budget acoustic gear and I'll not rag anyone for going...

    Acoustic vs. Ampeg

If you like the b410 acoustic cab, the closest comparable ampeg cab would likely be the svt410hen. They are both sealed designs. Most gc stores are likely to have both as acoustic is the house brand and ampeg is the biggest brand name in the bass amp market. Try both and see what you prefer. I'd...

Used a dimarzio model one (basis for the will power design, just lower output) for many years in a Gibson eb-0 and while it's better than the stock mudbucker in terms of clarity it's still lacking in top end. I'd hesitate to call it balanced. (In terms of wool, nothing beats the 60s mudbucker if...

    Cello / bass

Good to know. I spoke with a fellow player about his tb10 and he mentioned using a bow. I just assumed that he could make use of the two middle strings. As my third grade teacher used to say, to assume is to make an ass out of you and me.
