Does anybody know the color code that Peavey used for Red in the 80s? I'm going to try to restore an '87 Fury, 2nd Gen, and would like to color match correctly. Thanks for any info!

I've got a line on the year model I want. I've decided that I'm going to try to recreate/restore the bass. Anyone know the color code for Peavey's red? I'm going to post the same question in the Peavey Fan thread.

So, I did message him, one short message, saying nice rig, you should sell it for a better price. The guy has sent me four messages justifying his price. I just don't get it. He's cherry picking from the last few years of reverb sales.

I was very fortunate, my first bass was really nice. I had to sell it in college to make rent, and have always regretted it.

Just in case anyone was interested in this continuing story. The seller pulled the eBay ad, it is now up on Reverb, talking about how one "recently" sold for $560. I feel like playing dumb, and messaging him, saying, "That's too high, man. You should sell it for $350."

I don't know if anyone is still interested in this saga, but the seller emailed me again. They were very polite, but said that the a similar bass on Reverb for $535. I looked it up, and yeah, there was one in factory new condition that sold for that. Then, there was the same bass, in "mint"...

So, the seller reached out, again! Said I could have the bass, without the case, for my second offer. Which was $475. (super caught up in the nostalgia when I sent the offer, I feel like a cooler head has been prevailing) I wrote them back saying it was very kind, and though it reminds me of...

I have to say, I'm so glad that I posted this question, I'm feeling better about passing on this one, So, I got a message from the seller today, that price does include the original hard shell case, in good condition. *sigh* I feel pretty good about not spending $575, but it really is *just*...

Yeah, I didn't realize it when I first posted, I'm looking for a 2nd Gen, with the split pickups.

I was able to grab a couple of pics. I actually still have my original case. It's a bit beat up, but it's functional. Sitting empty.
