Under $1000.. also what are you guys thoughts on the Lakland Skyline Hollowbody.. i keep going back to those demos, and i feel like it less fragile than most semi hollows in general. And yeah ive been looking hard at the Cassidy models. Those are really cool.

Best semi-hollow bass for the money? Closest thing i have is a Danelectro Hodad bass, not quite semi hollow but has all the tonal qualities imo.. yet im looking to get another semi hollow or hollow body pretty soon.

Just curious.. im actually leaning towards the bartolini setup at the moment, but the coil tapping isn't that big of a deal to me. From the audio samples the barts sound more like what ive got in mind. Theres one going for 899 used on GC.com currently that has the bart setup.

Oh ok, fair enough.. i do have a question though. Did Lakland produce this particular model with different pick up configurations? Or have most of you guys on this thread made the modifications yourselves.. i seen you guys mention 3 different pickups and not one mention on the stock 'chi-sonic's'.

One of the reasons i like these in the first place is the fact that they are passive and just sound so pure and natural as is.

Interesting, if you dont mind me asking what was it missing before that made you want to add the active preamp?

Oh wow!, Ive been obsessed with the tones from this video for weeks now. It was the first and still the best example of its tonal spectrum. Every tonal option sounds superb. The body construction, the barts, the lebella flats. So far all roads are leading me to sell every thing i own immediately...

Oh one more thing do you know if the holes for the pickup cover are close to a fender model? id like to get one and doubt i can find the actual hondo cover.

Hey guy, anyone know about these? Specifically about the pup? Its a pretty noisy but its got a real unique tone. Is it a normal humbucker?
