Your Mount Rushmore of Bass Albums

Live at Leeds Who's Next Quadrophenia Who by Numbers Entwistle was the only bass player to truly blow my mind to this day...kind of like the way Eddie did on guitar...I just never had such a visceral reaction to bass or guitar as those 2 guys gave me.

Is this Squier CM Jazz Bass worth it?

This exactly...good bass but all maple makes them super heavy...mine is also about 10 yrs old and with my lightweight Carvin B 40 (basically standard jazz) and my roadworn p bass it's really not close to #1 material...that being said I still have it...so.

Connecting Rumble Fender cabinet to Aguilar Tone Hammer

The preamp on my Rumble v3 500 crapped out so I just plug a preamp into the effects return and it works just fine like someone mentioned earlier. You may just need a neutric to 1/4 adapter in your case.

Carvin b40...next to G&L SB1. Carvins still a workhorse...SB went back ...audibly rattling tuner...easy fix but didn't want to deal with a brand new us made bass.

Sin or common practice? Buying a Preamp from a diff manu than the amp

I (along with tons of others) used a VT preamp plugged into my Rumble combo for years (gigging etc)...the Rumbles pre amp totally crapped out as in no longer made noise when plugging into input jack. Now I just plug the preamp directly into the FX return and voila...sounds even better...so yeah...

    Searching for a Jazz Bass

I played one of these the other day at GC (Squire 40th Anniversary Gold edition) ...awesome bass for the money...killer neck and resonant instrument...blew away the Mexican Standard for 500 dollars less...and I mean blew it away...these are great basses...wasn't crazy about the gold...but what a...

What signature model is actually worth it?

The Nate Mendel is a pretty ordinary p-bass with qtr pounder and a fender bad ass bridge and the road worn treatment....but the neck is the best feeling neck I've ever played...that's why I kept it and play it constantly...of course I heard of the Foo Fighters but never heard of Nate at the...
