Just picked up this hot piece today. Took a nice drive to a city about 100 miles south of me w/ a friend to check it out. I payed $200 and couldn't be happier; its one of the few pieces of gear i've had no buyers remorse after getting it. Sure it looks like someone lit the headstock on fire...

If you like the way the bass looks and it plays comfortably to you, and you feel the price is worth what you would be getting, I don't see why not to buy it? If you would only be getting it because it's a rare custom shop, don't, because it isn't.

Just scored an 810 for $200! Gonna duratex it and match the grill cloth to my V4B soon.

Ive always wondered, do you actually play with your rig like that? I would think the cabs on top of the amp might rattle some stuff loose.

Ahh I see. Well it seemed those were the amps in question and since they've only recently been made over seas w/ their reissues, I assumed it was a shot at the newer ones.

I've had my V4B for just over a year now and it hasn't even thought about quitting. Plenty of gigs, jams, long studio hours, and car rides. My only complaint is it doesn't have that sweet Chinese Tolex smell to it any more. :smug:

It sounded great! The engineer complimented me on it saying how nice it was to not have a load of bleed from a 410

I was using a 210AV that was in another room. I wanted to use my SVT410HE but forgot that it was at my buddies house and didn't have time to nab it
