I was using a 210AV that was in another room. I wanted to use my SVT410HE but forgot that it was at my buddies house and didn't have time to nab it
210av mics up just fine
It sounded great! The engineer complimented me on it saying how nice it was to not have a load of bleed from a 410210av mics up just fine

Glad that it worked out. The 210AVs are really amazing cabs - the tone is a matter of taste, of course. But I find it astonishing how well they do perform.
@G On Bass : Don't worry, they'll perform well. Just one thing:
If you feel there's too much treble, before turning down the Treble knob on the EQ, remember the 112AVs have an attenuator for the horn (high freq. driver) on the back; might come in handy, if you find them to sparkling / bright / modern sounding. Chances are you can get them tonally closer to the 210AVs, so that changing the EQ settings then would affect all cabs rather equally (meaning: taking not too much treble away from the 210AVs).

Opening for Roy Phillips of The Peddlers this Friday ( name drop for those who can actually remember The peddlers from the sixties ). I have an overabundance of heads but I will be taking the V4B into a Barefaced 410 cab. I have just discovered that this combination works particularly well, and while I don't normally use the deep switch on the V4B with the Barefaced cab it is a whole new world. Good FOH at this venue and the sound guy always mics the bass as well as DI so I win on both counts there since I like the V4B di out.
On another note, it disappoints me that there is a thread currently running which seems to imply that current Ampeg heads are unreliable. Certainly not my experience or that of anyone else I know with a V4B.

I assume most folks with a reissue V4b have a smaller head solution as well. Be curious what folks feel really gets close in a small package. High end or cheapo either way. My othe amp is a Jule Monique and M2500, the big advantage is the DI signal but giveN no PA support I prefer my V4b.
PF-50T is almost identical in tone.
Ya, guy ordered one, came in not working, and rather than accept that stuff sometimes happens, he buys a Traynor (which is fine by me), but then he goes on a diatribe about Ampeg QC and how Traynor is made in Canada like it means anything when it's just like any other amp full of Chinese parts assembled in the US or Canada. Apparently some folks are good at compartmentalizing stuff like that. I wish the dude well with his Traynor, but let's get real here.
If I am not running my v4b I am settling for running an Arkham Bullet pre into the effect return of either an Ampeg pf350 to Rumble 115, or said pre to effect return of a Rumble 200 combo. But man, the v4b is awesome, hate going on an electric gig without it, but am yet to do an upright gig with it.
Yes I loved one when I plays through it. But didn't really want my other option to be less loud.
Really don't know much about Tampa. There are a handful of places to play in the Orlando/Daytona area, though one is pay to play. But I live a good couple hours away from Tampa so I don't know much about it.
I've got a MicroVR with 2 of the 210AV cabs as my small rig. Most people do a double take that so much comes out of so little...
You can definitely do pretty well at copping a quality Ampeg tone with a Micro VR, although for the same price I'd go with the PF350 instead. Same preamp but 150 more watts.
