I've driven an 810e with a 25w B-15 head, and it sounds magnificent. Loud? Maybe not to your standards. But the tone is totally there.

Well I'll certainly try with another svt-210 before adding a power amp. I guess loud wasn't the quite the correct word (maybe feel would have been better). For me, the V4B with 2X 210AV is lacking a substantial "feel" on stage with a loud band. No lack in tone at all; hopefully adding more cabs will remedy that. I'll make two trips to get 4 of those 210's into the venue no problem. They are so light!
If I am understanding your question correctly, you cannot do this: 2 amps routed to a single speaker = fried equipment
You could take an out from the back of the V4B to a power amp that powers a set of speakers independently, but the V4B still will need its own speaker (V4B cannot be run without a speaker load).
As for the svt210avs, I have 2 and also an 810. IME the 810 just has more oomph with the V4B than the pair of 210s. 4 will be louder, but will likely not quite equal an 810.
I’ve done outdoor gigs with both setups, and the 810 won, hands down, for available volume and presence. In the pic below, I had the volume knob on my bass at about 4 and it was very much loud enough to keep up.

Oh really, I was not totally aware of this and what you are saying makes sense! This was what I needed to hear before foolishly attempting it! I hear you on the 810e and I would go for it immediately if I had a better car to load it in (2000 honda crv currently). I think it would be really difficult to wrestle one of those in vs. not bad to get 4x 210AV in. Have you had to roll the 810e over snow and rough terrain? I'm in montana currently and I experience this often with load ins.
On my way to a solution. Just added a 3rd SVT-210 AV and that is getting me closer. Also just got a QSC PLX1804 that I will feed from the slave out or Line out that will power one of the cabs. Just waiting for a new speakon cable so I can hook it up. May add a 4th cab at some point as well. Im also using a Shure Audio master to set a high and low pass and add transformer color along with an upgrade Golden Age Comp-3a for a bit of compression and more transformer color. Sounds killer!
Has anyone changed their power tubes yet? I gig pretty regularly (2-3 times a week) and have been playing on these tubes for 2 years but I bought the amp used and I suspect these are the original JJ's. Anyways, I just picked up a burned in and Apex Matched Quad from AES. Im interested to see how well they bias up. I will bias to around 65%.
I also have some observations with this amp that may contradict some previous ones from others.
1. The gain control really does change the preamp voicing throughout its range and can add its own distortion (that sounds good) separate from the power section. So yeah, there's plenty of useable voicings cranking the gain and lowering the master
2. A good driver tube is ESSENTIAL in this amp and they get hit hard. I used an NOS Sylvannia 12AU7 here.
3. With the 3 cabs I'm using there is an impedance mismatch with the nominal 2.7 ohm load from the cabs. I prefer by far to use the 4 ohm outputs for this.
