You must have played an old one. Newer ones don't do that.
Jimmy is generally the post-2006 cabinets that sound better/brighter?

yea, but issue 3 would be that they are effectively 3 12ohm loads, making adding a cab to it in parallel is a little tricky..You must have played an old one. Newer ones don't do that.

so the newer ones have a different woofer? You must have played an old one. Newer ones don't do that.
wrong (i think) the cab is effectively like 3 12 ohm speakers! Not sure what point you're trying to make here. The 610HLF is a 4 ohm cab (three paralleled series pairs of 6 ohm drivers), if you want to add another 4 ohm cab in parallel that's 2 ohms.

6 plus 6 in series is 12

Yes, although it might have taken longer for the HLF series. Can't confirm it with hard evidence but I think it was closer to 2010 for them.
yea run 2 610's and it's 12 + 12 + 12 + 12 + 12 + 12 = 2coreyfyfe is correct, the 610 cab is 4ohms, I used to have two 610 cabs, I could run them at 2ohms all day long.
Jimmy's right...the newer 610 cabs have nice mid range, I don't find the 610 to be too boomy in general. The newer 610's can get very close to an 810 I find.
I am not 100% positive about the 610hlf, but judging from comments of people who have played older and newer ones, I'd say yes. And the 410hlf definitely has redesigned woofers.so the newer ones have a different woofer?

never tried the V4 with the 610 yetI am not 100% positive about the 610hlf, but judging from comments of people who have played older and newer ones, I'd say yes. And the 410hlf definitely has redesigned woofers.
I only have a Tuki cover...don't really want a live in case. The weight it is now is perfect.Has anyone found a live in case for the V-4BR?

Not much help but I'm glad you're weight is on target. I'm looking to gain some muscle!I only have a Tuki cover...don't really want a live in case. The weight it is now is perfect.![]()

I've had two of their cases. Absolutely loved them! I called them yesterday. They said they would only make it if they could sell a batch of 20-30. No single custom made orders. The folks at Audiopile (located in WA) make a good quality case at an affordable price.
Road Racks and Cases
They have two depths of SVT cases (SVT | Road Case Suitable for Ampeg SVT Bass Guitar Amp Head ). Check your V4B dimensions against them. If they can't offer a custom built one, maybe they could adapt an SVT case with foam as Jimmy mentioned.
