it looks to be about same width as an svt.
and is that a sealed 215? wondering what speakers are used in the nv15..

Nice. I have the reissue and the 210s. Sold my NV610 due to portability issues, but have considered a pair of the NV115s as a modular solution. Can you talk about the tonal and volume/efficiency differences with the 210AVs?

No idea, I've had no experience with EV's, though I remeber the raves about them in the '90s when they were in some ways state of the art. as well.

Tonally the NV215 is very well balanced and smooth top to bottom, no frequency holes and wider sounding than the NV610, a bit lower lows though still tight, and more extended highs without any sizzle.

Still very punchy but less so than the 610.

There is a clarity to the notes with the NV115 that is absent in comparison. As you push them it's more of a tube overdrive where the 210s have more of a distorted sound. If you don't want clean then the 210s may work better. When you are playing a more rock driven song.

An ideal setting on the V4b is both gain and master at noon, maybe pushed to 2 o'clock. With the 210s where I push that limit looking for clean tones in a loud stage situation. I don't come close to the clean headroom ceiling with the NVs. A single NV will push those limits a bit sooner then the pair of 210s if you want to push the V4b at modest volumes.

You also have to control the low end of the NVs and cut some bass in a boomy room where I never found a need to do that with the 210s

Friday night I played a room I've used the 210s and used the NVs this time. I'm not sure it was all that different except I could sculpt the NVs to go from a bit pillowy to more grindy. Where I didn't have the headroom for that with the 210s. At the same time. I had to worry about filling the stage with a bit to much bloom, it was manageable but wasn't an issue with the 210s.

Agree with this, owning an NV215 and 210avs. Much of it boils down to the lesser power handling ability of the 210avs and the 6" driver in the Berg IMO. I briefly owned a single NV115 but found it much less efficient and more clumsy to move than the NV215, got rid of it quickly but a pair of them would be a different picture as very close to the NV215. I would have to strongly recommend the Barefaced Ten cabinets as an extremely viable alternative to the other two - my current go to cabs on tone, schlep and efficiency.

Ive never played a barefaced but I'd love too. A bit sceptical about having a speaker cabinet shipped from Europe and no service locally.

I suspect that service would not be an issue. The worst thing that could happen would be a blown speaker and Alex would have one across the sea to you within 24 hours, going on past delivery experience.
