Just finished building my first bass, and when I go to check intonation, the tone at the 12th fret is a half step flat. how do I fix this? Also if anyone could explain to me how to make the mike pope preamp run on just 9 volts that would be awesome Thanks, Drew

Just finished assembling the Mike Pope Preamp with a stacked V/t, low mid, hi mid, stacked B/T, coil tap, A/P switch, and mid freq switch. Still waiting for the Delano tender 6 pickup to ship

So I finally decided to build a bass, I didn't want to mess with the neck because I'm leaving for college in a month and a half, so the neck is Warmoth. The body is cut from a walnut slab my boss gave me, and is going to be topped with a bookended figured myrtle top. I'll put up some pictures

the body isn't drilled for the screw holes but the neck is. So use the titebond instead of the marine epoxy?

so I've started building a 6 string bass, and I've come across a dilemma. I bought a Gecko neck off of Warmoth, and so I was planning on bolting the neck to the body, but the guy at the woodshop I'm using said he has some marine epoxy that is basically indestructible. Should I just set the neck...

Also when I go to buy the pickup, it offers me neck or bridge. Are they the same or are they different?

That makes a lot of sense. I'm used to a jazz bass though, will the preamp eq be enough with one hum bucker to have an extremely versatile sound?
