The VOX Combo with the cart was an ESSEX. I had one to play my snazzy "Dave Clark 5: Continental organ through. I've b een playing keys throuigh bass amps ever since. Keyboard amps can't take the abuse adn tehy sound too "pretty." That ESSEX was a great amo for the period.

It's going to a tech for sure. I like to walk into any repair situation with an idea of what's wrong. It buzzes with nothing plugged in, so I th ik I may have aground problem I couldn't get to myself. thanks to all.

I wasn't clear-- this is a constant buzz, not a buzz as I play. This is all the damn time. You hear it between songs, not during. running the amp through the PA, which I prefer, isn't possible because of this noise. it's not a 60 cycle buzz, either.

I love this amp, but it has developed a noticeable buzz, way passed just a transistor buzz. I checked allt he connections in teh head. any ideas? thanks

I love my 112 althogh it has developed a buzz. I have a matching 12 in a cut down cabinet from another 112 in which the amp was trashed. It realy has a lot of balls. Tubes are always sweeter, but a bit more fragile and moody.

I've got a SWR 112 that I really like. I also runs a large keys oiutfit through it, as well as an old Ibanez blazer bass. My only problem is that I have to roll off the bass EQ on the keys to keep from having too much bass sound int eh band and muddying the sound. It's a great little amp.

I've had this bass for a while and am just now playing it. It was set up a couple of years ago, but now as I move up on the neeck, particularly passed the 5th fret, the notes are pretty sharp. What do I do? thanks Spanky

I play a mid-80's Ibanez Blazer. Once open strings are tuned, the higher I play, particularly above the 5th fret, the sharper teh tones. How can i adjust this?

I have a SWR Workingman 12 that I adore. Great sound and pucnh, plenty of power, breat for smal to midsized rooms with a direct out to the board for bigger rooms. Mid $200's used. Great amp
