Anybody have an opinion about Washburn's T14 series?

I'm looking at a used bass for practice only kept at my step-sons where I spend about 4 weeks a year. Price seems fair, but I don't know much about them. Seems to maybe be an older model as I don't see any on Musicians Friend or Guitar Center (was looking for pricing and reviews).

    That Flatwound Sound

Thanks everyone. Jut to try and be clearer, frist, I'm probably not the typical beginner. I've played a 6 string for more years than I care to admit. But most importantly, it's not that I'm actually wanting the flatwound sound. I have people telling me I should try it, and I don't know...

    That Flatwound Sound

So, I must admit, I'm fairly new to the bass. I've never played one with flatwound strings, though I've been told that I should try them. Bass strings are a bit more expensive and bigger deal of an experiment than guitar strings....I was wondering.... I have a Zoom B3. I looked for something...

    Chris Squire Memorial-From Scotty Squire

My best friend and the love of my life Chris Squire will be cremated today in Scottsdale, Arizona at 3:00 pm. However, knowing Chris, he might be running a bit late for the event; After all, he has always been the 'late' Chris Squire. So at 3:00 pm Phoenix time, please take a moment to play...

    Ernie Ball Scale

I was thinking about switching my Squier Jag V to Flatwounds and was looking at the Ernie Ball strings (2810). I read one review that cautioned that they may not be long enough. How do I verify that?

Squier Jaguar vs P or Jazz

I'm not real savy on all the gear-head stuff, but this confuses me.....and I know I am talking on the lower end here. The price point for a new Squier Jazz VM or P bass VM is more than that of a Squier Jaguar VM. It was my understanding that the Jaguar is kind of a combination of the...

Passed on a bass, think I made the right call

It was not on his "presentation row", if you know what I mean. It was like one of his "other" pieces. And what was interesting is that there was a Gibson acoustic that someone was negotiating with him on, and even though he hit a point where he said "too low", he did move off the price on...

Passed on a bass, think I made the right call

Thanks for the feedback everyone. From what I could tell, it actually played pretty well. I mean, it felt good, but it was really hard to hear it on a crappy amp in huge room with tons of background noise. As for looks, it looked fine. Not great, not horrible. I think if the guy had come...

Passed on a bass, think I made the right call

It was at a guitar show/expo. Fender (Mexican) Precision. According to the serial number, 2000-2001. It was fretless, but it seemed pretty clear to me that it once had frets and they were simply removed. They guy was asking $250 and wouldn't budge. Should I have grabbed this?
