In the past 19 years, I've cycled through 3 heads, 2 cabs, 3 tuners, 5 preamps, 3 compressors, 1 chorus, 3 flangers, 2 hpf/lpf and 5 dirts = all perfectly normal.
I may have bought the last Amp Grinder. Now I just need to find a spot for it.
And another thing...
Played through this the other night at practice. MBD2 into a monster.
Has anyone used both the TC Spectradrive (my current pre) and the Source Audio Zio bass pre? I find I hardly use the 4-band eq on the Spectradrive, more just the toneprint for a bit of amp like dirt. Looks like the Zio will do the same in a more compact package, with a built in HPF.
When I said I didn't want to 'set off a board churn', I meant 'other than changing from a cramped single rail PT Nano+ to an RB 3.0 -- I don't need the expense...mortgage...I have a day job, blah blah blah'.
Future state.
I'd prefer not to tbh. My fx config has been remarkable stable for a good while now and I want to add one small thing rather than set off a board churn (fun though that may be).
