yeah same i pay for my bass stuff but considering i want to make something of music, well actually i want to be any audio engineer/musician he helps me out a bit with that kinda stuff but it rarely comes along unless its a must have piece of gear everything else is from me earning it myself

i'm only 14 and i have to pay for everything myself. the bass i just made, along with the case and strap i just got for it aswell wasn't cheap :P but i don't care if i have to pay!! it is, after all, my hobby and my interest so why should my dad pay for all my stuff??

not an expert or anything but for playing sounds and stuff i've heard that if you have Ableton Live running for that kinda stuff its good.... or a drum pad or something that you can set the sounds.
