My lh500 got plenty bright and punchy but absolutely no way to get any grit or drive out of it. Hence why I flogged it for an ashdown abm.

Ok so the 1 speaker being mic'd will be loud and full enough while its not using the amp heads full wattage?

Sorry if this has been covered, but I have searched extensively. This weekend I'm back in the studio, only I've now got 2x 8 ohm 410h ashdown abm cabs. My question, is a single 8 ohm 410h cab going to sound 'full' enough? Or do I need to use the full stack and achieve 4 ohms to get good...

I thought it might be a case of different quality electronics or something. But its only since getting this new amp that ive noticed the p isn't just hotter than the jazz, its really hot for the amp too. I'm sure I've read that the optimum input level is 3oclock for most people with this head...

The pickups are angled with the closest pole pieces about half an inch from the strings. No closer than the quarter pounders in the jazz.

I'm strongly considering grabbing myself the pf500 as an upgrade to my hartke LH500. I'm unable to try before I buy so would that be a decent upgrade?
