Very easy answer here. Memorize them both. The goal is to be able to play any tune in any key.

Funny to read this. I have a 98 Vette, and I love everything about it...except the sound. I wish it were a bit more mellow. I put a Noll preamp in it, and it helped A TON with volume issues (it was stock and rather quiet). I'll have to try the flats!

Not sure how anyone could think that a Warwick was ugly. The wood is gorgeous. I have two and I think they look infinitely better than my Fender Jazz. If you dig the sound, just take that stupid pick guard off of it. Problem solved.

Why on earth would you pay him back after you provided a service for him? That is absurd. Charge him for playing the music, charge him for writing the bass lines, and then charge him for playing on his gigs. Holy cow.

A gig is a check...I hope that the guys I'm playing with are listening, and good music happens, but it's a check. This is such a bizarre question. Why else would someone gig???
