6 string bass with the narrowest string spacing?

I have a custom built 8 string Basslab which has a 12 mm string spacing, I'm sure they can deliver one with 6 strings too! I simply love playing that one and there's really no problem to play fingerfunk or slap on it! I've attached a picture of the bass (and the happy owner). :)

The one with Rio rosewood is very nice... remember that if you live outside of the EU, the store can deduct the VAT from the price. It means a lot of savings compared to the original price.

I know that there are Chris Larkin instruments played on some of the Kate Bush albums. The bassist from Jethro Tull and Van Morrisson uses these too. With all the "dodgy" luthiers out there I must say it is always a pleausure to work with Chris. He always delivers and he answers your mail or...

Might be the old pink to wine red burst that Chris has used from time to time, one of the nicest finishes I've ever seen!

Hi John, I'm not sure about the weight, but I don't think it's heavy. (It's not that big either). The scale length is 35-32. I never tap, but I play fingerstyle, slap and all the other usual stuff, but try to add a bit of flavour by combining different techniques.

RLK; thanks, and yes the Basslab has two identical EADG sets. That Lecompte you're getting is going to be very nice, reminds me a bit of my first 6 string which was a Pedulla series 2. I loved that bass!

In 1993 I ordered two custom basses one from Conklin and one from Chris. Even though the Conklin was very nice I liked Chris's bass even better, and from that point I've never really looked back. Chris has made me a lot of basses the years that has passed and has always been a pleasure to work...
