Back in the club! I traded off my Conklin 7 earlier this year, just too dang heavy for an old geezer like myself. I have since acquired this gorgeous Stambaugh fretless 6! Now if the incision from my recent open heart sugery will just hurry and heal, I'll actually be able to pick it up and play it!!!! :bassist:
Here she is,..Christine!

Freddy;
Now that's the way to make an entrance!
Those are some impressive beasts!
Do my eyes decieve me, or is that Basslab two sets of EADG, fretted and fretless!?

I have another ERB on the way- A Lecompte "Special Project" 7
Kind of married ergonomic elements of my beloved Pedulla MVP with the vibe of the Lecompte P4T for the body:

RLK; thanks, and yes the Basslab has two identical EADG sets.
That Lecompte you're getting is going to be very nice, reminds me a bit of my first 6 string which was a Pedulla series 2. I loved that bass!

I mainly play sixes, funny... they don't seem extended to me;)

Hmm, 1 year anniversary of this thread, and I just got back into the club. Coincidence, or fate? :)

Just pulled the trigger on the used Conklin GT-7 that was at Bass Emporium. I used to own one just like it when I was in college, but sold it off because I wasn't really ready for an ERB. Now that I've gotten the hang of a 6-string for one of my bands, it's time to add that high F for even more melodic goodness.

If you're handing out numbers, I'd like one please. :)

So how many of you run a low F#? My Conklin GT-7 came in yesterday and I got to noodle around with it last night. I don't think I appreciated before just how incredible the B string is. It's so tight and punchy that I'm wondering if it could handle an F# decently well. Any opinions? If you have an F#, does it actually get use?
