Thanks, I am switching back to rounds and will restring on the weekend. I am really just a hobbyist, but where this one is, is a real annoyance for me.

Could a dead spot be created by using different strings? For example if the tension on the neck was changed could this affect the resonance of the neck in away the a dead spot may be more noticable. I have a real nasty on the 5th fret of my E string (A). I do not seem to recall noticing it when...

Music stores in Toronto & GTA?

The Arts in Newmarket have a good crew but the selection of Bass Gear can be hit or miss. I did buy a bass and an amp there and was treated very well. I have been back for strings and have always had a postive experience at this store. I have only one buying experience at Club Bass, it was a...

    Musicman neck size

The standard Stingray is available with two neck options, thicker with a 1.625" nut width (standard) and thinner with a 1.500" nut width, SLO version (similar to the Sterling) factor in multiple pick up combo's and you should be good to go.

Can anyone give me any minor details concenring a Ric 4004L neck?. I have no chance of checking one out and have read a few things which have me confused. Any idea of the neck thickness, some info I have read leave me to believe they are rather thick? The Ric site shows a 1 11/16 nut width, is...

    Markbass Amp

Will heed the advice, the dealer where I bought it told me that it should always stay on since he did not think there was any thermostat in the unit. Thanks again Cheers !

    Markbass Amp

I guess I may have an issue, it's pretty much brand new with about 25 hours worth of playing time at low volume. It seems the fan runs constantly when it's on. Not sure if there should be a break in period although I doubt that should affect the fan. Tks

    Markbass Amp

I have a new Markbass little Mark 250 head, and have a couple of questions for anyone who may be able to help out. 1) Does the fan stay on all the time? 2) Can I use the tuner output for headphones? Tks
