    Wow, I think you are right. I wonder if the inflated prices effect other sellers....I got my tabacco burst '76 for 1900 bills about 8 years ago, my buddies said I was crazy. I figured it would at least hold value.

    I hate "boomy" sounding bass, so I usually plug the ports on my SWR and Genz boxes. I use generic 1500 W Crown power amps and drive them with an Aguilar tone hammer preamp. I made a custom 410 box using car woofers years ago. It sounds the best but I am afraid to push it more than a few hundred...

    The rare Gibson Thunderbird short scale bass shows up on the bay once in a while. Beautiful little bass. Mustangs are great as well

    Never, ever play "Mustang Sally" on a thunderbird. Generally, they will need dental records. Do read and understand the thunderbird bass handbook. This is why you don't see that many t-bird players around. It's a matter of life and death.
