I have a bass with a noll preamp which has 4-band EQ, so basically a high and low mid. But you will need an extra nob, so not really an option for a Dingwall, but might be interesting for people that don't like the "color" but do want high and low mid.

You could reach out to Dingwall. I think I read somewhere someone who had something similar and they could swap/do over the bass. To be honest I'm a bit afraid this might happen to me. But I find out early next year.

Kind of same here, I saw a maple burl that was very nice. But just saw some flamed maple ones that are nice as well. As it will be somewhat translucent, I don't want the top to be to dark. But they expected start manufacturing in August, so still have some time. I certainly don't want to wait...

I need to wait a bit longer. How did you pick the top. When you ordered or later?

I wonder how you would keep it at a year? You would need something like a lottery each month to prevent locking in two many orders, but give everyone a fait chance. But it doesn't seem fun to than loose the lottery each month.

I heard this before. I wonder if this is always communicated back, or depends on the dealer. Need to wait at least half a year till they start being, and being pretty confident it's what I want.

A few options that cost extra, like a burl top. It's not only the price, not entirely sure about the fluted top and build in distortion. It's supposed to be done somewhere are the end of the year. So at least in time for when they start making them.

I guess someone could 3D scan them? So you can print them. Won't work to actually play on it, but you could get some feel of it?

Two years is about average for a custom right now, I guess. But Effigy is kind of fast lane ish, with fewer options then regular custom builds. Does anyone know if there is more information now on the Van der Loo signature D-Roc?

Even through dealers it's hard to get information, but maybe that's changed now. I'm not sure I like the onboard distortion. But the Pink example makes me almost attempt to change my costum D-Roc order again.

Ik would go with pink if I ordered one. But I already have a headless bass. And I already have a D-Roc on order.
