Thanks. The head is from the 2000’s. The cab is old. Only one input no back input multi jack plate like the later ones.

my opinion (and I'm not a tech by any means) I'd say it was something in the eq. My old Bass 400 had an issue with the eq when I first got it. Would work sporadically and make noises. Ended up being just needing a re-soldering in a spot then it was fine. Mind you, the amp was about 20 years old...

I agree, it's a rickenbacker. That's a great tune.

yeah I had read that 1969 was the first year for that logo but maybe 1969 was the first year that ALL p-basses had that logo. I see a couple of 68's on eBay with the same logo as yours. Oh well, congrats on your "new" 1967 p-bass! :D

For only 1 or two songs, I wouldn't think a .100 E would be too loose. You'll notice a difference in feel and tone but if you only have one bass it's just something you'll have to deal with. To me, a .105 is the best choice for someone switching from E standard to Drop D on and off during a set...

I thought that headstock logo style didn't start til 1969. Either way your bass is bad ass but yeah, a 67 would be cooler than a 72.
