As in noisy when your actively adjusting the position of the pots? It may not be a shielding issue, but a dirty pot issue. Usually you can rectify it by getting some deoxit and spraying a small amount in the pot and moving the knob back and forth a few times to clean it.
I’ve got mine. It’s my only bass, and unless I find another one as light weight and with the tone of these pickups, I’ll never sell it.
don’t have any current pics on my phone except this one of my Gibbys. I’ll post a better one tonight.
Not always, at least not with some of their newer offerings. My 2017 EB is 6lb 13oz, and I’ve seen them even lighter.
I think the mahogany bodied models will always be heavy by nature of the wood.
Thanks!
The board is rosewood. I took these pics after a string change and I had oiled the fretboard. That plus the lighting makes it look a little darker than it is. That being said, it is a nice, dark piece of rosewood.
I love a good burst. The problem is most aren't done very well. Gibson, IMO, is by far the most consistently good.
I don't like them as much when the dark area follows the edge of the body such that you get the light, amber color on the horns. I like the way they do their acoustic sunburst...
