Recently bought a Yamaha RBX765A and I'm loving the consistent tone and quality build... but finding the 19mm string spacing a little annoying. Wondering how it would stack up against a VM series Fender Squier 5 string... any thoughts from the bass multiverse?

For all those interested how this saga ended.. I stuck with the dark side. Th700 and the SL115 - sounds super natural, warm and round where I like it. SL210 may be added one day if we ever get a shipment down here in Nz.

M I hear this mentioned a bit, about the tone. What range was distasteful for you? I've heard they can be mid focused

How do you find it at lower volumes? I'm considering this as a one stop shop and might end up doing some quiet ish jazz sets with one. Seems like overkill but if it sounds delicious who cares at that weight point.
