What are your thoughts on the pair of db112s vs the sl410x? In what situation would you lean on one one vs the other? I got to use a db410 on a gig recently and fell in love w it, but there’s no way Im slogging one of those anywhere. So have been consider these two options along w the db210.

What are your thoughts on the pair of db112s vs the sl410x? In what situation would you lean on one one vs the other? I got to use a db410 on a gig recently and fell in love w it, but there’s no way Im slogging one of those anywhere. So have been consider these two options along w the db210.
Sorry about the delayed response. I have used the DB112s and SL410x with my DB751 for gigs in the last 6 months and both are pretty good. The DB’s more old school and the SL410x more Rock perhaps. Keeping both.
No, sold a while back after acquiring a pair of Barefaced Two 10s.
Never really liked the tone of the Aguilar and prefer the Barefaced (no tweeter). Sold all my Aguilar gear apart from a DB751 and moved across to Bergantino B-Amp and their now discontinued REF cabs.

I had Aguilar amps and cabs for years, but always preferred the GS and DB cabs with the ceramic magnets. Then I "discovered" Bergantino and now have a Forte D head and two HD112 cabinets (with ceramic magnets, like your Ref series).
I never was impressed by Neo speakers, but I have to say Bergantino does a decent job with theirs. The best I ever heard, and owned, was an Epifani Dist310 cab, which was a custom order by PlanetBass. He basically had Neo speakers in a UL310 cabinet with specially designed porting. It weighed 49.5 pounds! It was only 5 1/2 pounds heavier than my Bergie 112, and had a huge amount of bottom. It was also loud and didn't break up at ridiculous volumes, sorry I sold it.
Crap, now I want another one...add it to my Christmas list??

I hear this mentioned a bit, about the tone. What range was distasteful for you? I've heard they can be mid focused
Good choice. I also sold my SL410x for a two10s and also have Berg HDN210/112 combo. Either destroys the tone of the SL410X. I never hated the SL except the tweeter which was so darn loud. To me it was just a really loud box with no focus or clarity across the entire spectrum.
I really wanted to like the SL410x after previously owning and rejecting a pair of SL112s, but neither lived up to the DB410 or DB112s which had to go because of their weight and bulkiness.
The SL410x is not a bad piece of gear and highly practical but I think there are better/warmer neo cabs around now. Always found SL cabs a little ‘boxey’.
I completely agree. It was great for the grunge band I was in. It has some pure power to it. I discovered the SL410x from a power trio local to here and at the time it was one of the best cabs I had heard for the size of it. Went to a music store maybe 2 months later and tried one out, best cab in the store and traded my markbass for it. About 8 months later tried a berg hdn112 and it blew my mind in comparison and sold my SL for the bergs.
Yes he is. I use my HDN322 setup mostly for outdoors or larger venues since I don't love either cab independently live. I used the two10s for smaller stuff. Discovered Barefaced because of TB. I've wanted another two10s but would have to move off of the bergs but I just won't do it, I love both setups.
