    Fender Bassman 100T Chapter 3

Thanks again for the helpful advice on impedance matching. So I played with the 100T for its first gig last night. Absolutely bloody marvelous. Now I know what all the fuss is about.

    Fender Bassman 100T Chapter 3

Hi everyone, I always wanted to experience a tube amp to understand what all the fuss is about, and I finally went ahead and bought a 100T. It arrived a few days ago and I love it. Great tones. I play it through one or two of my GK 212 NEO cabs. First gig with it is tonight. Can't wait! This...

Measure battery voltage without removing cover!

That is indeed my bass. I only get a voltage when I have a cable plugged in and the switch turned on. I only get a 9v reading.

Measure battery voltage without removing cover!

Aha! This answers another question I had (I think). The wiring diagram shows the batteries wired in series with a red wire taking power to the circuit board. This wire was soldered to the wire from the board at a handy connection with a bit of shrink wrap covering the join. I tapped in to the...

Measure battery voltage without removing cover!

It's a Fender American Deluxe Precision Bass.

Measure battery voltage without removing cover!

Hmmm... I tried that and could not measure a voltage as you describe.

Measure battery voltage without removing cover!

Hi, Before every gig, I have been changing my on-board batteries for fear they will go flat at the wrong moment. I was getting bored of this hassle and expense, and so I made a modification to my guitar which I wanted to share to others in the same situation. I soldered one end of a piece of...

    Wiring

I just bought "Rolls PM52 Passive Headphone Tap Monitor Level Converter" from www.parts-express.com. Now I can plug my speaker output into a mixer and I don't have to worry about applying too much voltage to my mixer if I inadvertently turn the input knob up to max.

Aha, someone who actually understands. Thank you for an answer based on facts about reality rather than intuition.

I did it, it works fine. The input impedance of the mixer is high. The voltage of the speaker outputs is not significantly higher than line voltages. The mixer draws so little current the head barely knows it has the mixer connected to its outputs.

can I plug the speaker outputs of my amp head into a mixer without risking damage?

    Wiring set up....

Yes, there is an effects send jack and a tuning jack. They are on the front of the amp. What I want is to avoid having a wire running out the front of the rack round to the back which I have to mess with. Thanks for all your replies, I think I now know what to do. I think I'm going to make a...

    Wiring set up....

My question is about monitoring my GK 1001RB through my Galaxy Audio AS 900 wireless monitor box. I have made it work by going out of the tuner output of the 1001RB into the AS 900. This means routing a wire from the front of my rack round to the back. I want to avoid this wire if possible...
