    Damnation Audio Fan/Appreciation Thread

I just bought an EAE Greathammer. I'll have to try it with the MBD3. The MBD has been my always on since the day I got it. But I just bought an Amp Driver and (at least for the time being) surprisingly took over that job. Run with light gain it is perfect for my core tone.

    3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

I use the Prunes & Custard a ton, but most of the time I have the drive & blend near noon for a much more subtle effect. I only really use it with the drive up high when I'm running it into a Xerograph for synthy sweeps.

    JHS Morning Glory Clean

I still absolutely love the BJFE Blueberry and it's variants. The version JohnK built for me with the Zeibek Submarine in the same enclosure is one of my favorite bass drives after years and years of trying other things. But the Blueberry circuit isn't all that transparent, especially at lower...

    JHS Morning Glory Clean

IF your basses don't clip/distort the clean blend, the Morning Glory Clean is exactly what so many people have asked for - a transparent bass OD that just adds a little bit of hair or grit while not changing the tone of your bass or amp. My bass loaded with Turner multicoils and the Lusithand...

    Damnation Audio MBD(3)?

So I have both the MBD3 (which I love) and the Bass Amp Grinder. I've never gotten a long with Rats on bass but something made me want to try this one. I dig it. A lot. What was most surprising to me is that my favorite setting is really subtle and works for my always on, grindy tone. I've...

Why no soapbars with cream pickup covers?

Aero will make them. At least they did for me.

What is the best bass you’ve ever played?

I believe they were $1649 and $1699 when they first were released in 2016. Definitely not cheap, but a complete bargain by today's prices . . .

What is the best bass you’ve ever played?

The Cutlass and Caprice were really good. I think it was an uphill battle for Music Man to sell passive P and PJ style basses when they are outside their normal bass offerings, but it's a shame they didn't last.

What is the best bass you’ve ever played?

Love this bass. Atelier Zs and Xotic XJs are both killer.

What is the best bass you’ve ever played?

Thank you. The body is African mahogany (khaya) and the neck & fingerboard are wenge. It has Hipshot ultralite tuners which Hipshot will do in black & gold as well by request. Here's a couple shots of the neck and headstock

What is the best bass you’ve ever played?

There are a few that stick out in my mind. A Fodera Emperor 5 with a chambered walnut body, ash neck, and ebony fingerboard with a chestnut top A particularly nice FBass BN 5. A Dingwal Afterburner iI And maybe just recency bias, or me just finally really dialing in on exactly what I want...

Last Albums You Listened To In Their Entirety?

After we revamped our sound system in the basement and started a vinyl collection I started listening to full albums most days when I work from home. Yesterday it was "Private Music" by Deftones, "Grace" by Jeff Buckley, "Blue Train" by John Coltrane, and "Two Star & the Dream Police" by Mk.gee

What are your favorite recorded overdiven/distorted bass tones?

This is a great thread - so many amazing tones so far. My favorite tone will always be Billy Gould from Faith No More. It evolved across their albums, but was always awesome. And it sounded great whether he played fingerstyle, with a pick, or slap.
