How do you handle a drummer who hasn’t learned his parts?

Sounds like you need to keep looking for a better drummer

Sadowsky Metroline - Extremely Disappointing Customer Service from **Warwick**, not Sadowsky

The IFT angle makes their response even stranger, since that feature is specifically marketed to prevent exactly this.

How do you handle a drummer who hasn’t learned his parts?

I’ve had the best results when expectations are set clearly and early rehearsal is for tightening, not learning from scratch.

What bass is Joe Maphis playing in this short video clip?

That’s Joe Maphis playing a Mosrite bass. Mosrite made violin-/Höfner-ish shaped basses in the late ’50s/early ’60s, and Joe was closely associated with the brand. So yeah your eyes aren’t lying, it does look Hofner adjacent, but it’s a Mosrite.

Fender Jazz Bass Serial Number Quirks

If both neck and body date to 2017 and the body is stamped natural,I’d trust the bass in your hands over the database. Totally normal Fender quirk, not a red flag at all.
