I suppose the only really controversial aspect of this is the labelling, coz Cort does usually produce very high quality gear. But if your Fender Jazz has Made in U.S.A. stamped on it, then it is reasonable to expect that up to 75% of the manufacturing wasn't done overseas, thus robbing...

I keep hearing that many higher end basses are made in the Cort factory in South Korea. A guy who actually visited this factory also told me that Cort put a little more care into instruments that carry their own brand name. Another factoid going around is that many fairly expensive "big name"...

The Actions are amazing basses for the price, they beat the living sh!t out of yamahas etc. at similar prices.

the Cort Curbow fretboard is not wide at any point. It might be an optical thing based on the fact that the curbow fretboard actually continues 9 frets onto the body of the bass! I found this excellent for tapping.

I recently played in a musical where the guitarist was playing nothing but power chords, even over diminished etc. he made everyone sound terrible, so they surreptitiously cut his sound to near zero in the mix. Now this guy said he could play bass if he wanted but I couldn't play guitar, so...

Cort Curbow 4 string, tiny bass with the most playable skinny little neck imaginable. Shame these basses got a hard time for being made of Luthite, their tone is modern and cool and the necks just about play themselves, definitley the fastest playing neck around and the ebonol fingerboard feels...

I am very happy with my Schaller magnetic pickup, it has plenty of oomf and doesn't feedback. It suits my purposes, (playing in a big band). But I also use my bass for symphony work and when the bass is unamplified, I get a mechanical buzzing/vibration/rattle coming from the pickup. It occurs...

Look into Cort 5 string basses, cheap but excellent. The GB75 is a better bass than a Squier Deluxe, and probably measures up against a Mexi Jazz nicely too. It's about quality not names.

Wow, that is one of the most unique right hand playing styles I have ever seen, nice looking DB in the background, yummy!
