Shut up and take my money! So impressed with my Vintage that a 'b3k' is in my near future so I can use the Vintage as my 'always on' pedal and the b3k to stack for 'the heavy parts'of my taste. (The vintage made me do it.)

I'm using Daddario 45-135 nickel round at the moment. I like a tighter B string. No complaints.

I love the attack I get from a pick.

I play with a pick (see my profile picture there is the kind I use in it.) It is a V-pick tradition 2.75mm. I use a pick most of the time. For more complex lines I use my fingers. But 80% is done with a pick.

BEST - Eden WT550 and Eden D410xst WORST - Nothing. I'm very careful with the gear I buy.

I plugged in my vintage into my Eden world tour 550 head and used the direct out on it to the board. I got many comments on how good it sounded. I will use the set up again and again when I'm able to use a DI. It also sounds really good cranked through my 4x10 as well.

I had the very same dilemma. I could not decide between the vintage and the B 3 K. I ended up going for the vintage because it has a very throaty sound. It's also very tweakable that you notice more in a band setting then when just playing and practicing by yourself. I took my vintage out for...

I'm running the K5 into an Eden WT550 and a Eden d410xst. I also use a Darkglass Vintage microtubes for a really nice 'throaty' overdrive.

Everything is stock on it. This bass (don't know about the newer models) has a huge sound with a really clear bottom end. I like it a lot. I just with it had no 12th fret inlay...

Can anyone recommend a setting for me on the vintage that might sound a little bit like Rush? Granted I won't get that tone from the bass that I use, just something similar in drive and era is what I'm looking for.
