I think they’ll do anything you’d like. I had the option of 9.5 or 7.25. We wanted to go full ‘62 spec on this one. Although, I didn’t get the reverse tuners

Thank you! Love the way it turned out and even happpier with how it feels. I'm not sure the source of the guard. It's not true vintage vintage tho -- It's a contemporary build to old school specs. Could be Spitfire. I'll have to ask.

Picked up my custom Seuf OH-16 in shell pink today! Ordered this one from my friends at Fountain City back in February and I couldn't be happier with how she turned out. For the uninitiated, Seuf makes the best custom F style guitars on the market today. Best neck in the business. Not too...

Bad ad reports: popups, screen takeovers, ads with sound etc. spring 2026

Talkbass is unusable on mobile now. It refreshes every few seconds and is extremely slow and lagging.

I have a chambered 55-94 I purchased in 2024. It’s very light, maybe the lightest bass I own. I’ve never weighed it but it’s gotta be right around 8 lbs

Thanks for the feedback. I'll have to experiment more with keeping the drive knob low. I've found keeping the gain at 0 really helps with the bottom end. I've found the TH + SL112s sound great with my Fenders, but have been struggling with the Stingray and Lakland. Really wanna try the AG and...

Lookin' good! How's that AG head treating you in this setup? I have the same rig but with a TH and am not really vibing with it with my 55-94. Hoping an AG500/700 has more full sound. Thanks and happy new year! John

Tracking at home today with the HB-30. Strung with Labella's and a felt pick for kicks. JHS Colour Box for a bit of saturation. Sounds so good!

I believe it functions as a 0 fret. When set up correctly the string break angle should barely touch the wood. This helps give open strings a similar characteristic as their fretted counterparts.

I've been playing Dunlop on my 55-94 with good results. They make tapered sets with 125 or 130mm B strings. Stainless or nickel. I've used both extensively and they're the closest to the Lakland strings that I've found. You can buy them direct from Dunlop STANDARD SERIES NICKEL WOUND TAPERED...

I love mine. I find it to be extremely versatile. The EQ and coil split cover a lot of ground. Mine is about a year old with stock pickups and electronics. I find them aggressive enough for my taste. They break up nicely especially with stainless strings and a slight mid boost. I play in a 70's...

That’s because those cats actually play their instruments 😂 Meanwhile pre cbs fenders are being bought and sold as investment vehicles rather than instruments for play. A player doesn’t care about a refin but a collector does…

Tonight’s rig. Same rig as every night. 55-94 into the JHS Colour Box to FOH DI and Hartke 115 at my knees. Sounds pretty darn good to me!
