    QUestion for the pick players out there...

    i use dunlop gator or tortoise 1.14s.i find anything under 1 mm too much work also...best to buy a hand full of singles and try them all out..everyones different

    try herbal tea before a show.i used to be a singer/soloist and being onstage alone used to be nerve wracking at times.the worst thing for me to do was drink 1 or 2 beers before i went on.the sugar in alcohol instantly messed with my nerves...ive played some pretty relaxed sets with herbal tea

    i grew up in the shred/hairspray era. two handed tapping guitarists in guitar shops drew me more towards the bass :)

    im the same..i love funk but slaps not my thing.a great book for fingersyle funk is muted grooves by josquin des pres.slap it is a good one for fingerstyle too!

    Looking for a guitar amp (combo) all-tube (Fender, Mesa Boogie,...)

    the guitarist in my band (total sound and gearhead)has mentioned a few times how much he hates the hotrod deluxe..too harsh sounding. apparently the 4x10 is better but thats just what this bass player hears at practice!.both our guitarists are vox and orange guys

    theres some great second hand deals out there.i found a beaten up ampeg hln 4x10 for $250 and an eden wt 300 for 400 CAN and its the best amp ive ever owned!i couldnt get much here new for that price....a line 6 combo maybe :(
