Official Darkglass Club: Welcome to the Darkside

Agreeing with @mikekelley07, in the studio I have run a two-channel rack-mount compressor in series. First a fast, strong (4x) attack that quickly releases to reduce the pick click, then a smoother and longer comp to tame the swells and thickness of the B and E strings. The hyperluminal could be...

No I haven't and that looks like a fun pedal, particularly the older form factor. Have not found one that someone wants to move.

Man, Hank, I was just thinking about shelving my Rat for some other pedal. The two flavors of DG already in the head seems like enough. The four-button smart switch will make it easier to release the Rat too. There is too much fundamental tone dropping out when I engage the Rat with a "fun"...

Nice "murder" Rumble. On a side note, that Iron Maiden poster, my teenage bedroom, thanks for the unintentional flashback memory.

    THE ULTIMATE CAT THREAD

If anyone is going to "get it", it would be the citizens of the Ultimate Cat Thread. I can almost feel her walking across my lap and rubbing her scent on the corner of the lap-top.

R.i.P. Sub-woofer Kitty. Athena put up a battle but last night, she finally succumbed to kidney disease and hyperthyroidism. This is my daughter's cat but she had no problem hanging out with me too. Athena from a couple of years ago trying out a box for size. She was pretty-much always...

It finally came, the Orbea XC bike I ordered a few months ago. It's a strong frame with a Shimano XT parts group. An art-pic first. I got a rear-flat on the maiden voyage soon after taking these shots. Of course, I didn't have a 5 mm Allen wrench handy but I was close enough to home to get...

Remembering when we could take a Caribbean cruise and rent a bike to explore an island. If it wasn't in such a place, the one-day rental price of this rust-bucket would be more than the bike is worth on the mainland. I actually rode it for about four solid hours on Grand Turk, squeaking and...

Fender Precision MIM bass - how many are still using stock pickups?

My Nate Mendel (MIM) came that way along with a high-mass bridge. The tone is massive Precision! Even though it's passive, it out-sustains every bass in the quiver. The only modification is a set of GHS Pressure wound strings and a pro set-up. Sometimes, a foam mute helps it decay fo "that sound".

Answering the second question; no, the DG cabs do not have wheels or holes to install them. I don't see any reason that they could not have the rubber feet replaced with castors. At less than 50 pounds, they are manageable without them.

    Fender Rumble Club

@dORSY, I have had the 1002 version of that mixer for many years of flawless performance. It is essentially a double of the 502 with two mic strips and four x two-channel pairs. The only knock I have with it is the insanely bright LED that I taped over. It fits into the 'basement' of my...
