Fair enough. Just got caught up in the moment of seeing my favorite bass amp brand releasing something I had highly hoped for.

In fact, lets post an OBD, Old Bass Day! This is my much beloved 2005 75 reissue jazz bass. The SVT is stuffed into a closet so can't really snap a photo.

Funny thing I was starting to think I was cheating on my old jazz bass with my mistress, which is not even a bass :) I got this mesa mark 5 35 as a gift to myself and my Les Paul this summer. Please don't hate me! :)

Call me an idealist if you will. I don't think foreign made gear is worse than their US made counterparts. But there is something to supporting a local economy and community. Without getting too political, I hear so many complain about stagnating jobs and wages, yet buy cheap products made...

I played one of those, I believe the custom shop signature one in translucent blonde, a few years ago at the Hollywood GC. Even though I am a huge ZZ Top fan, I was not super impressed. If I remember correctly, it was pretty light weight, but the tuners were hard to turn. I guess the relic job...

If so, it pretty funny, or deceiving, that there is no full size pic of the bass with the pickguard off. Almost like they try to hide it but still have it in the details so to cover themselves.

In the pickup route picture, i.e. the last one, is there some extra routing to the top of the pic, or is that some optical illusion? Shouldn't it have two rectangular routes?

I did some levels adjusting on the neck date stamp, and it looks like 1995 to me.
