Dusty Hill Precision Bass. Is the only 'bucket list' bass.

I played one of those, I believe the custom shop signature one in translucent blonde, a few years ago at the Hollywood GC. Even though I am a huge ZZ Top fan, I was not super impressed. If I remember correctly, it was pretty light weight, but the tuners were hard to turn. I guess the relic job included getting the right gunk to jam up the tuners with to simulate 50 years of road house grime.

Yep, all P-Basses. All American Vintage hardware and Fralin pickups.

Hum...
In no particular order, to try and own if liked a lot : Rickenbaker, Yamaha BB734A, a real amazing fancy Fender Precision from the '70s, the Shergold bass Peter Hook wrote his Joy Division/New Order basslines, a Sterling by Music Man bass (since a lot of ppl talk about how great they are!), a Epiphone Thunderbird pro, a Squire/Fender Bass VI......and a custom bass of my desires!!!

OK, here is my "One day before I die" bass list ....

1. A Wal MK2 or MK3

2. A Kubicki Ex Factor

3. A Rickenbacker 4005

4. 1960's Jazz bass (Pre CBS)

5. 1950's Precision bass

Your turn .... :bassist:

gibson cello bass
'56 hofner 500/1 with carved top
carl thompson scroll bass
custom mandocello body bass
one of these violin basses

A salmon Foundation.
I've found that with low standards I'm seldom disappointed.

I have this bass. It is fantastic! One advantage to an older, pink bass is that it definitely has seen less playing time that my sunburst Foundation. Believe it or not, any Foundation once was top of my bucket list, and now I have two.

I also have a Kubicki, and just parted with my Alembic, which are bucket listers for me and many. I also have a birth-year Precision. I have a Spector, which was definitely on that list, and is absolutely everything I hoped it would be.

I just got a Warwick Thumb 5, which was in the top slot on my remaining list.

Next is probably an old Airline/Supro Pocket Bass. I’d also still like to have a Koa Peavey Dyna Unity. Number one, though, is a solid body Guild M-85.

1. Carl Thompson
2. Fodera
3. Pre CBS Fender
4. Sadowsky NYC
5. F Bass
6. MTD

I have had a Fodera before and received a CT direct last year. The chase is still on for the others.

I wanted to edit in a couple of others

7. Musicman
8. Modulus Sonic Hammer

Recently picked up a mm special and it is a great bass. The sonic hammer is the bass I had and gigged with through college, definitely a keeper.

Mine are almost identical:

1.) Fodera
2.) Sadowsky NYC
3.) MTD
4.) F Bass
5.) Musicman Stingray Special

I've been through about a dozen Foundations. Seems I buy them, set them up and end out giving them to students or donating them to churches. Down to about 5 of them... I think? I'm absolutely destroying the market for them in my area. I'll find that pink one someday. :)

That's the second not so good review I've heard. You may have just saved future me $6400
