Top 5 "Bucket List" basses

1- MTD something or Tobias pre Gibson
I have a Grendel and a Growler and if they are the low brow models I more than keen to try the real deal

2- Factory Fretless early '70s Precision

3- 2EQ MusicMan Fretless

4- Warwick Flashback Fortress 5 string with 2-Tek bridge

5- Yamaha, the one Peter Hook used for "Perfect Kiss".

My somewhat humble bucket list was for many years a sunburst alder-bodied American Standard Precision bass with rosewood fretboard, a white Jazz bass (preferably American Standard, but MIM Standard could have done) also with alder body and rosewood fretboard, a Gibson Thunderbird with the 60’s style pickups, an acoustic bass (ABG) of some sort, and a fretless bass of some sort, plus maybe an EB-3/SG Bass. ThIs was the list over the many years that the only bass I owned was a single MIM P.

Well, as I had reason to become all too aware of the proverbial bucket a few years ago, I’ve since completed getting all of those listed basses except for the Thunderbird (with the Thunderbird now having slipped down more into the "maybe" category previously occupied by the since-obtained SG bass). Another "maybe" is a fretless electric (the fretless bass I have is a fretless acoustic bass).

With the above "maybe"s, I’d still like them, but I’ve been thinking that at this point I can live easily enough without ever having had them. But I would still like them and they’d kind of complete my long held list... So, they’re "maybes"

A Rick is my only real bucket list Bass
A Warwick $$, Stingray or Bongo is in the would be nice to have category
A P bass is a forgone conclusion, it's just a matter of picking up the one that I just don't want to put down at the MIM to used USA price point.
