I finally got it - MY HOLY GRAIL!

Slab in this context is the fingerboard. As opposed to a radiuses laminated fingerboard mid 62 sometime. Slabs are 59 to 62.5ish. I think Slab bodies refer to the 51-55? Pbass and mid sixties European export Pbass

Not sure if this is thread worthy...

Who is Kayne West ? I know Jaco and Leslie West and the Lyle Kayne Band. Of course I am originally a guitar player. I know Gary THain and my Bass Brother told me about Jaco 30 years ago. Can you tell I am getting old ?

Musicmaster Bass with Humbucker - questions about pickup

I have never seen an original Mudbucker disassembled from the bass. So I don't know the construction details. I did look in my Telecaster Book which mentions a rubber stamped 6 digit date code on the bottom of a 74 Tele Humbucker. The font was similar and the last 2 digits did reference year...

    Your Opinion on 8x10's

I have a Traynor TC810 that sounds awfully good. Never AB'd next to an Ampeg tho. Got it to go with my YBA3 because I gave up on locating and refitting a Big Ben YC810 to match the era of the YBA3. Nice metal grill. Glides on the back. Lower side handles, dual top handles moves easily...

    Georgia Bassist Club

Thanks SouthGaBass. Hey its quality, not quantity. We played that Easy D song in 77/78 when you had to to beat the Dj Disco craze. And worse but I'll leave that alone. The Commodores are still pretty cool in my book. I even leaner To Love Somebody and it was cool. By that BeeGees disco we...

    Issues with drummer

Good decision ! It seems what Melloinman said applies: In my experience, a lot of "hard" decisions became very VERY easy once I had made them.

    Callahan's Crossbass Saloon

Valerie watched Alan walk away. Nice butt, she thought. I bet he is a bass player. She served up two more trays of drinks and snuck over to the side of the stage. The bad was alright. She was next to the bass player. Alan was back a few tables and caught her eye...........

Equal Pay Split, What Are Your Thoughts?

We are a 4 piece. I do all the booking. We split it 5 ways and I take 2 cuts for the booking hassle. Standing offer for WHOEVER books the gig gets a double cut. My brothers and sisters have not booked us yet. I own the PA and upgrade/add from time to time out of pocket. I consider that...
