Just thinking out loud, my amp can push out a 4 ohm load or 2 ohm load (Marshall vba400)... On that basis I could run a 4x10 behind me at 4ohm and a full range PA monitor in front at 4ohms? ( given its speaker rating is up to it) taking it down to 2 ohms. My question being, I have a fold back...

Looks quite snazzy 😀 I'm currently doing my old Marshall cab up and have been torn between finishes, but I think I'm gonna go with some Marshall black elephant grain tolex. Will get some pics up when I can ;-)

Yeah, I have found with the amps/cabs that I've owned that tolex is great looking but tears/rips easy, carpet holds up well but looks a little cheaper.

A bit of a random question..... But what do you like your amp/cab covered in and why? Does it affect the sound in any way? Does it hold up well to general gigging? :-)

Thanks Paul, I now agree about the tweeter, I'm just going to replace what's there and not mess around with it. I've opened it all up and it has 2x10 at 16 ohms each and the 15 is 8 ohms. You can see the cone is bending when travelling outwards on the two 10's causing the farting, I have...

Thanks vince, I have it to one side now so will open her up tomorrow and see what's going on in there. Will adding a tweeter from the peavey 210tvx change the impedance? My plan is to change the drivers (or get them repaired) and add the tweeter? Thanks again
