This topic is called "Show your basses", not "disguize your bass as a couch and make fellow TB-ers try to discover it"...

I didn't consider you a satanist therefore and i also remarked the rather ironic sense of your post... but still, some folks could feel offended for that so i just wanted to state my 50 cents, no rush! ;-)
Nice ray, btw... (tell us more about)
Good, I'm glad that we're all friends again
.As for the bass, it was something that I put together about 5 years ago, using a new EBMM StingRay as the starting point and then fitting a Status graphite neck and a Delano quad-coil pickup. It looked good on paper (and the finished article looked good, I thought), but I'm afraid to say that the graphite really killed the tone for me and made the bass sound rather too 'harsh' and 'brittle'
.I later fitted that neck to a 'home made' Jazz Bass and added some Nordstrand 'Vintage' pickups. That was a more successful marriage and I used that bass a lot, until I got my hands on my first (vintage) Tokai 'Jazz Sound' (pre-CBS Jazz bass clone) and then I gave up with graphite altogether and went back to wood
. So many good things are written about them, but I've never even seen one up close.
