Nope, its the fancy one named after small critter..FMI doesn't have their own line off basses to my knowledge..just Shen's &asst. Used ones..

Hey there, have a chance 2 buy a used 'California Beach Twn' model bass,that a big SoCal store sets up & sells under their brand,with a Spruce top,maple back & sides & my question is how well do these (Korean made ?) basses hold up with age? I know its a general question..guess I'm looking or...

i bought a nice German shop French bow from Tom and he was totally cool about letting me do lay away and always lets me play all his basses..

I Play mainly pizz &arco but slapping more & more on occasional jump blues/ swing gigs..soliciting peoples thoughts on good strings for all 3 applications IF possible.. was going to get some Innovation 'Solos' which i've read are best for orchestral-jazz& sound good being slapped on...

thats Milt Hinton playing bass on 'Reefer man' ? wow! great stuff ..met some one at work (heard me poppin' the Chinese upright on set) and told me his Dad invented 'slap back' bass w- Cab Calloway from '38-'42 or something.. don't think his last name was Hinton.. oh well have to get more...
