    Rickenbacker 4005 - how many were made

    I actually own both a 1966 Rick 4005 and a 2000 Rick 4003. I would agree the 4003 plays better but the looks, sound and reduced weight of the 4005 is hard to beat.

    Just purchased a 1966 Rickenbacker 4005 Mapleglo. The guitar was in a collection for most of the years and was not played as evidenced by the pictures. This joins my 2001 4003 Mapleglo.

    I am about to purchase a 1966 Rick 4005 Mapleglo from a collection. the guitar is in almost new condition. this is basically the first year of this guitar. Has anyone had issues with this year.
